Thursday is stacked for American sports fans. The 3-2 Seattle Seahawks visit the 3-2 Denver Broncos at 8:15pm ET on Prime Video in Thursday Night Football, but the slate starts early and runs late: a weather-moved ALCS Game 3 at 1pm ET, a potential NLCS sweep at 8pm ET, and two NBA preseason games to round out the evening.

Thursday Night Football: Seahawks at Broncos

It is a classic short-week showdown at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. Seattle arrives smarting from a 32-29 loss to San Francisco, while Denver improved to 3-2 with a road win over the Chargers and remains unbeaten at home this season, according to reports. Coverage notes for the game list Prime Video as the national stream, and both clubs will wear throwback uniforms — Denver in its Orange Crush-inspired look and Seattle in royal blue — a nod to the clubs’ shared AFC West history from 1977 through 2001.

The matchup also lands in an NFL week already full of headlines, with Rams lineman Alaric Jackson appealing a two-game suspension after punching Bradley Chubb, and the loser in Denver facing real mid-October pressure to keep pace in its conference race.

Pennant races and preseason hoops

The American League Championship Series shifts to Cleveland for Game 3 at 1pm ET at Progressive Field, with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Guardians tied 1-1. First pitch was moved up from its original 6pm slot because of forecast evening rain, and the game airs on TBS. Tampa Bay squared the series with a 3-1 win in Game 2 behind six shutout innings from Freddy Peralta.

Thursday night’s other baseball test is even more dramatic: the Milwaukee Brewers can sweep the Los Angeles Dodgers in NLCS Game 4 at 8pm ET, which would send Milwaukee to its first World Series since 1982, according to reports. The Brewers grabbed a 3-0 series lead with a 6-2 win in Game 3, riding the form that saw them pound the Reds 20-0 to clinch a playoff berth earlier this month.

Basketball closes the slate with two NBA preseason games: the Toronto Raptors visit the New York Knicks at 7:30pm ET at Madison Square Garden — a rematch of Toronto’s 148-98 rout earlier this month — followed by the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Houston Rockets at 8:30pm ET at Toyota Center.
