1. Agreement
NewsWibe (“NewsWibe”, “we”, “us”) is a digital news publication operated within the 24World Media network, published from 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States. Accessing or using newswibe.com (the “Site”) means you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Website Disclaimer, which form part of them. If you do not accept, do not use the Site. Using the Site for an organisation means you warrant you may bind it.
2. What the Site is
The Site publishes news, analysis, explainers, video and related material (“Content”) and informational and contact pages. We may change, suspend or remove any part of the Site or Content at any time. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee the Site will never be interrupted or error-free.
3. Ownership
Content, the NewsWibe name and marks, designs, graphics and media on the Site belong to us, our network, contributors or licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and related rights. Nothing here transfers ownership. Unauthorised reproduction, republication, distribution, adaptation, translation or sale of Content is prohibited.
3.1 Uses that need no permission
You may link to our pages; quote brief excerpts of up to 50 words with attribution to NewsWibe and a link to the original; save or print one copy of an article for personal non-commercial reading; and carry our headlines with links in aggregation that sends readers to the original. Scraping at scale, bulk downloading, framing that disguises the source and full-text republication require a licence — see the Services page.
3.2 Third-party supplied material
Agency, partner and contributor material is credited; the credited rights holder controls its reuse, and our terms do not license it.
4. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Site unlawfully; attempt unauthorised access to the Site, its systems or stored data; interfere with its security, delivery or measurement; harvest Content or train models by automated means without written permission (except where a non-waivable law permits); impersonate any person or misstate affiliation when contacting us; submit through our forms anything unlawful, infringing, defamatory or malicious, or another person’s private data without authority; or use the Site to harass.
5. Material you send us
Tips, documents, corrections, responses and business submissions sent to us carry a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence for us to use, reproduce, edit and publish them in our journalism and services in any medium, credited where practical. You warrant you may send the material and that our use will not infringe others’ rights. We need not publish, return or — except as our editorial practice provides for sensitive tips — treat submissions as confidential. Do not submit material you are unwilling to have held on these terms.
6. Commercial material
Advertising and sponsored work are labelled. Their presence is not an endorsement of any product, service or claim. Any deal you make with an advertiser is between you and the advertiser.
7. Third parties
Links and embeds lead to sites and media we do not control. We accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability, products or privacy practices. You follow links at your own risk.
8. Accounts
Public reader registration is closed and the Site offers no public accounts. Administrative areas are for authorised staff only. If account features are ever introduced, extra terms will be published before they apply to you.
9. Reliability of Content
Our journalism follows a published Code of Ethics and Corrections policy, yet Content is general information: it can contain errors and will age as events develop. Nothing on the Site is professional advice. Reliance is governed by the Website Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms.
10. Warranties disclaimed
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS, THE SITE AND CONTENT ARE OFFERED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY AND AVAILABILITY. Statutory warranties that cannot be excluded are preserved.
11. Liability limits
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW PERMITS, NEWSWIBE, THE 24WORLD MEDIA NETWORK AND OUR STAFF, CONTRIBUTORS AND PROVIDERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, NOR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL OR OPPORTUNITY, CONNECTED WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE OR CONTENT, EVEN IF FORESEEABLE. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS CAPPED AT THE HIGHER OF WHAT YOU PAID US IN THE PREVIOUS TWELVE MONTHS OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS. Liability that the law forbids limiting — including for fraud and for death or personal injury caused by negligence — is untouched.
12. Indemnity
You will indemnify NewsWibe and the network for claims, losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from your breach of these Terms, your submissions or your misuse of the Site, except where our negligence or misconduct caused the loss.
13. Copyright notices
If your copyright is infringed on the Site, notify us through the Contact page identifying the work, the page and your authority to act. We assess notices without delay and remove or disable material where the law — including the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act where applicable — requires it. Access of repeat infringers is terminated where applicable.
14. Suspension
We may suspend or block access where we reasonably believe these Terms are breached, the law requires it, or the Site and readers need protection. Clauses on ownership, warranties, liability, indemnity and governing law survive any ending of your access.
15. Law and courts
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, excluding its conflict-of-laws principles. The Illinois state and federal courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about these Terms or the Site, and you submit to them, save where mandatory law in your home jurisdiction gives you another forum.
16. Changes
Revisions change the date at the top and are announced on the Site when material. Using the Site after a revision takes effect means you accept it.
17. Whole agreement; severability
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Website Disclaimer are the whole agreement between us about the Site. An unenforceable clause does not sink the rest; our not enforcing a clause once is not a waiver.

19. Subscriptions and future paid features
Newsletters and alerts offered on the Site are governed by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. Any subscription can be ended from the link in any message or through the Contact page, and ending it never removes your ability to read the Site. We charge nothing for any feature today. If a paid tier is ever launched, price, billing cycle, renewal and cancellation rights will be stated in full before you can buy, and those statements will form part of your contract; continued use of a free feature will never silently become a charge.
20. Machine use of Content
All rights in the Content are reserved against text-and-data mining and machine-learning training by third parties. Search indexing and linking in the ordinary way are welcome; bulk reproduction to assemble datasets, train models or power retrieval products needs our written permission or a licence, unless a law that cannot be contracted out of says otherwise. The reservation expressed in our robots directives is part of the bargain between you and us when you use automated means on this Site.
21. How to give formal notice
Copyright notices, legal complaints intended for the publication and other formal notices under these Terms should be sent through the Contact page; legal process should also be posted to 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States, marked for the publisher. A form submission counts as received when our system logs it; post counts on delivery. Notices that arrive through social channels, personal addresses or comment threads are not formal notice under these Terms.
22. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms where the failure results from events genuinely beyond our reasonable control — including infrastructure outages at providers, network attacks and acts of government — provided we take reasonable steps to resume the service and to keep readers informed on the Site itself.
23. Assignment and feedback
You may not assign your rights or duties under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign ours within the 24World Media network or to a successor operator of the publication, provided the assignee honours these Terms. Ideas, formats and suggestions you send us unsolicited may be used by us without payment or credit; do not send anything you regard as confidential on the expectation that it will be kept so outside our published editorial practice for sensitive news material.
