About Us

NewsWibe exists for one reason: the news does not wait, and neither do our readers. We are a digital headlines desk — a small, fast newsroom that tracks what is happening right now across the United States and the world, checks it properly, and puts it in front of you in clean, quick reads you can finish on a phone between two stops.

Speed, though, is not our only standard. It is not even our first one. NewsWibe is a member publication of the 24World Media network, and we work to the network’s published Code of Ethics: verify first, attribute openly, correct in public. A headline from us is a promise that somebody on this desk checked the thing before they typed it.

How the desk works

Our editors and reporters watch official sources — government departments, courts, regulators, emergency services, markets, space agencies, sports leagues and scientific bodies — alongside agency wires and verified field reporting. When something breaks, we publish the accurate core first and then build: background, documents, reaction and consequences are added to the same story as they are confirmed, so the page you saved in the morning is smarter by the evening.

Coverage runs through World, Politics, Business, Technology, Sports, Entertainment, Health, Science and Video. Every section works the same way:

  • Confirmed before published. A fact appears when a primary source or two independent reliable reports support it — never merely because it is trending.
  • The source is on the page. If an agency, an official or another newsroom established a fact, we say so in the text.
  • Written here. Our copy is written by our own desk. No scraping, no spinning, no copied articles.
  • Fixed in the open. Errors are corrected publicly under our Corrections policy, with a note of what changed.

Who writes it

NewsWibe is produced by a compact team of reporters, desk editors and video producers. Most stories carry the Staff Reports byline: that is reporting gathered and edited jointly by the desk, which is how a headlines desk actually works. Specialists and field contributors are named where they report. The publisher’s office is at 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States; editorial standards across the network are overseen by the 24World Media standards function, and our ethics code is published in full on this site.

What we believe

Most readers meet the news on a phone, in fragments, under time pressure. We think that reader deserves the same rigour as the one with an hour and a broadsheet: honest headlines that match the story, numbers with their sources attached, speculation labelled as speculation or left out, and a clear line between reporting and opinion. If we do not know yet, we write that. Then we go and find out.

How we are funded

Advertising and the network’s commercial services pay for this newsroom. Paid content is labelled, always. Advertisers do not see stories early, do not approve coverage and cannot buy a softer headline — that separation is written into our Code of Ethics. Our Advertise page lists the formats we sell; our Services page explains the distribution and content services the network offers organisations.

Reach the desk

The Contact page form is the front door: corrections, tips, privacy requests and advertising enquiries all land in the newsroom system and are read by a person. Sending a news tip? Say what happened, where, when — and how it can be checked. Tips with a document, a public record or a named witness move fastest.

Thanks for reading NewsWibe. We will keep it quick, and we will keep it right.

What “checked” means here

Anyone can be first. Being first and right takes a system. Ours has three moving parts: primary sources wherever a primary source exists — the release, the filing, the dataset, the official statement; a two-report rule where it does not; and a second pair of eyes on anything carrying an accusation, a casualty figure or a market-moving number. That costs us minutes on some stories. We spend them anyway, because a correction costs more.

NewsWibe belongs to the 24World Media network, whose standards function audits sourcing and corrections across every title it publishes. Sister newsrooms share reach — a photographer in one place, a specialist desk in another — but never conclusions. A story that travels across the network is re-verified on arrival, by the desk that puts its own name on it. Independence inside a network is the whole point of having one.

The deal with the reader

Everything above reduces to a deal: you give us minutes of your day; we give you the world checked, written plainly and corrected honestly when we slip. If a story ever fails that deal, the corrections route is one form away, and it is read by the people who can change the story. That is the whole model — attention in exchange for trustworthiness, renewed every visit.
