While more than 400 runs were scored in the third IND vs AFG T20I on Wednesday (January 17), Virat Kohli failed to make any contribution with the bat.
The right-handed batsman made his much-awaited return to T20Is during the recently-concluded series. He had not played a T20I for Team India since the semifinal loss against England in the 2022 T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli finally returned to T20Is in the second game of the three-match series between India and Afghanistan. In his comeback game, he looked in good touch and scored 29 runs.
Expectations were high for him for the third game which took place at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, the former India skipper failed to live up to the expectations and was out for a golden duck after miscuing a short delivery from Fareed Ahmad.
Despite the failure with the bat, Virat Kohli’s spirits remained unyielding as he maintained his typical jovial and playful demeanor throughout the match. He came up with some remarkable fielding efforts during the game and was also seen dancing to the viral ‘moye moye’ song after the match went into the super over.
The India superstar was not done yet. Even after the game, he showed his playful nature with a hilarious gesture. The incident took place when the Indian players were posing with the trophy. Virat Kohli was initially absent from the group before deciding to make a grand entrance distinctively. He slid into the frame on his feet to leave his teammates amused.
