Ravichandran Ashwin is amongst India’s premier bowlers in Test cricket. He is a sureshot in the Indian XI at home. However, when playing overseas, Ashwin is still not a guaranteed selection. He was snubbed from India’s WTC final XI recently.

The management picked Ashwin for the T20 World Cup last year and played him ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal. Given that the management is now looking to develop a new crop of bowlers, Ashwin might well consider retiring from ODI cricket.
