'Panders to the EU and Irish!' Joe Biden blasted for 'anti-British' diplomacy ahead of crunch talks
Press Releases

President Joe Biden has been slammed for his “pro EU” stance and “Irish Republican bias” amid talks with Polish leaders on Nato funding.

American Journalist Lee Cohen said Biden’s “anti-British” diplomacy shows how “deficient this president’s judgement is”.

It comes as Biden will meet Poland’s President and Prime Minister in Washington on Tuesday to show solidarity for Ukraine.

The US president, Andrzej Duda and Donald Tusk are expected to discuss ways to increase funding for Nato against the ongoing threat from Moscow.

However, Cohen says Biden is just “rolling out the red carpet for Irish, Polish leaders” in Washington to “reassure the Poles over US resolve to support Ukraine”.

Speaking to GB News, he said: “Most US Presidents pride themselves on being “American as apple pie,” but Joe’s heart and soul seem Irish first.

“Irresponsible and petty, Biden channels his Irish heritage into scorn for our staunchest ally and defence partner, the UK.

“From leaving the Brits in the lurch during his chaotic and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal to denying a mutually beneficial US-UK free trade deal, to threatening our closest ally over Northern Ireland Brexit negotiations, time and again Biden panders to EU and Irish Republican interests at the expense of America’s most special, cherished, and important relationship.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

“So many on the left tout Biden’s foreign affairs acumen, but his anti-British pro EU and Irish Republican bias shows how deficient is this President’s judgement.

“America has never been weaker on the global stage than under the Biden Administration, its fearsome enemies emboldened, and its historical allies neglected and slighted.”

Biden faces pressure to overcome Republicans in Congress who are obstructing $95billion for Ukraine weaponry and aid to Israel.

“The leaders will reaffirm their unwavering support for Ukraine’s defence against Russia’s brutal war of conquest,” the White House said.

Joe Biden and Donald Tusk

President Duda and Tusk have been involved in a deep constitutional row ever since the Prime Minister took office in December.

However, the two leaders both maintain a common front against Russian president Putin.

As the pair travelled to Washington, Tusk wrote on social media: “I differ politically with President Andrzej Duda in almost everything, but when it comes to the security of our homeland, we must and will act together. Not only during a visit to the US.”
