Only MS Dhoni Has Mastered The Art Of Finishes Games, Says Riyan Parag
Sports

The IPL 2023 is set to commence on 31st March with the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) taking on CSK. MS Dhoni would be eager to dominate the terms after a disastrous IPL 2022 where CSK finished at the bottom. MS Dhoni would be quite relieved as now they have Ben Stokes in the middle order.

CSK fans would be hoping that Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway give the team a rollicking start where the onus would be on Ruturaj Gaikwad who has been in prolific form in the domestic circuit. CSK have got a lot of all-rounders present where they can surprise the opposition with their combination.

I do not think anyone else has mastered that art than MS Dhoni- Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag was having an interaction with PTI where he spoke about MS Dhoni. Riyan Parag praised MS Dhoni & stated that there is no batter who plays the role of finisher better than MS Dhoni.

“I have been doing the finishing role for the last three years now. There is just one name that comes to my mind which I also have said before, MS Dhoni. I do not think anyone else has mastered that art. Going into that role, I always look up to him, how he finishes games or how he takes the game deep,” said Riyan Parag.

I have bowled a lot of overs this season- Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag has had a terrific Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 where he scored 253 runs with a strike rate of 165.35 and he struck 2 half centuries. Riyan Parag also mentioned that he has worked on his bowling.

“I had a very good domestic season and, in the buildup for the IPL, we have had a few camps in Jaipur. Everyone has looked in good touch with both the bat and the ball. I do not think the confidence part has changed; I have always been confident,” said Riyan Parag

The performances have come through, so that adds a different dimension to the mental state that any player has. When you are confident and have performances to back you, it gives an extra oomph of self confidence. I feel there has been a big improvement (in my leg-breaks) since I have bowled a lot of overs this season. I have bowled more than 350 overs. I put in a lot of work in my bowling so that I am able to chip in whenever my team needs me,” he added.
