Nigel Farage has said “let’s find someone who’s not the usual Foreign Office stooge” after being tipped for a Foreign ambassador role if Donald Trump wins the American election.
The GB News host has attended the Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC in Washington and is likely to be speaking to Trump whilst he is there.
The Republican Conference is set to showcase everything the political party has to offer ahead of the election and will give Trump the chance to reunify the party’s members and appeal to potential voters.
Farage and Trump have had a close relationship for many years, Trump infamously tweeted that Farage should be British ambassador to the US when he first became president in 2017.
Speaking to GB News Farage said: “”I think the world needs Trump more now than it ever did before, and I think even his fiercest critic would admit that in terms of foreign policy, he was a peacemaker.”
