Nigel Farage became embroiled in a feisty Brexit row with a campaigner who demanded a return to the bloc.
The GB News presenter, who shot to prominence with his Eurosceptic views, grilled Mike Galsworth of European Movement UK on the fourth anniversary of the UK’s departure.
He questioned why the EU has a flag, anthem and “wants nuclear weapons”, a question Galsworth sarcastically described as “great”, before likening the bloc to a football team.
“I would like to demand the same of Liverpool FC”, he said in a tongue-in-cheek remark.

“What do they think they’re doing with their own flag and their own anthem? Who do they think they are? That’s ridiculous”, he added.
“I’ve stood in the European Parliament”, Farage responded.

Mike Galsworth, Nigel Farage and David Davis spoke about whether we have seen the benefits of Brexit, four years on

“I was three during the Constitutional Convention 20 years ago. They’re building a state, a global superpower.
“Why should we rejoin it?” You’re in denial.”
Later in the discussion, Farage went on to comment that the Remain movement was London-centric, but the rest of the country “said we must leave”.
“We’re four years on, do you accept we’re not rejoining?”, he asked.
“No, we are going to go back”, Galsworth insisted.
“Look at the demographics. Right now, if you take polling about whether people want to rejoin or want to stay out, it’s pretty solid.
“There’s 60 per cent of joining again, 40 per cent for staying out. You break that down. By age and you see that big millennial wave coming in.
“I’m sorry boomer guys, but they view our UK-EU relationship very differently.”
Farage went on to speak about the increasing Eurosceptic movement across the continent, suggesting it is fuelled by a younger demographic.
“Marine Le Pen is now leading in the under 30s”, he claimed.
