For the first time in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the summit clash of the marquee tournament has been moved to a reserve day. The IPL 2023 final has been rescheduled to Monday, May 29, at 7:30 PM IST.
The final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 between the 4-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) was all set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday, May 28.

However, due to the on-again, off-again rain in Ahmedabad, the IPL 2023 final was forced into the reserve day. Notably, due to heavy rain in the city, the toss didn’t take place and even the artists such as King and Divine were not able to perform.
After the rain stopped for a while, umpire Nitin Menon was quite optimistic that a 5-over-a-side game can be played, but around 10.55 pm the rain was back and the officials decided to postpone the game. Also, things are not looking very good for Monday, as the weather is expected to be cloudy and there is a chance of rain.
