Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has lashed out at the Karachi Kings skipper Babar Azam for his inability to finish off the matches for the team.
The Babar Azam-led Karachi Kings are having a terrible run in the 2022 edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL). As Karachi Kings have lost all 4 games in the tournament so far.

They lost the first game by 7 wickets against Multan Sultans, while they lost the second game by 8 wickets against Quetta Gladiators. Also, Karachi Kings lost the third game against Lahore Qalandars by 6 wickets and their latest loss against Peshawar Zalmi by 9 runs.
In the last match, Babar Azam opened the innings for the team and scored unbeaten 90 runs off 63 balls, including 12 fours and a six. However, it was not enough to complete the 174 run-chase and win the match.
Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said that a world no.1 cricketer should finish off the match for the team if he bats throughout 20 overs otherwise he should get out without playing complete overs.
“If you are the world’s number one cricket player and stands on wicket throughout 20 overs then you should be finishing the match otherwise get out without playing complete overs, said Inzamam in a program at a local news channel.
He added that Babar needs to learn the art of finishing matches as it is the first sign of being a great player.
“The ability to finish matches has to be there as it is the first sign of being a great player,” he added by emphasising Babar needs to think on this.
Also, Inzamam has bashed team Karachi Kings for their selection and batting order. Currently, Karachi Kings are placed at the bottom of the points table with no wins and an extremely poor net run rate of -0.881. Mohammad Rizwan-led Multan Sultans are at the top of the standings with 4 wins in 4 games.
