IND vs PAK: "If You Fail To Prepare Then Prepare To Fail
Press Releases

India will have a shot at redemption and avenge the loss of last year’s T20 World Cup when they lock horns with rivals Pakistan in their tournament opener. The match is slated to take place on October 23, at the Melbourne Stadium.

Speaking about India’s chances, former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar has made a very interesting point. Gavaskar reckons that if India doesn’t win the World Cup, it will come as a real surprise given the numerous preparations the team has undergone.

India has good preparation for the showpiece event, highlights Sunil Gavaskar

Gavaskar wrote in his column for Mid-Day, “One thing for sure. If the Indian team does not win this T20 World Cup it won’t be for lack of preparation. Not only have they gone to Australia almost three weeks before their first game of the tournament, they are also playing practice games against good sides that should get them ready for the tournament.”

“The old saying, ‘if you fail to prepare then prepare to fail’ will not apply to this Indian team as, apart from these games in Australia, they also played six T20 matches at home and won four out of those to show that they are tuning in nicely for the big event,” he further added.

Injury concerns have not dampened India’s spirits, reckons Sunil Gavaskar
