Rishi Sunak has mocked Sir Keir Starmer for Welsh Labour’s record in Government, claiming the party is meant to be Labour’s “blueprint” for power.
But the Prime Minister claimed Welsh Labour is “missing every single target” in Government.
Addressing the House of Commons at Prime Minister’s Questions, Sunak said: “When [Starmer] talks about targets and waiting lists, I really hope the Welsh Labour government aren’t listening.
“They’re missing every single one of his targets! Weren’t they meant to be his blueprint?!”
Responding, Starmer demanded Sunak “take some responsibility”, claiming that “more than double the entire population of Wales are currently on waiting lists in England.”
The Labour leader added: “And on his watch, 2.5 million people are too sick to work – the majority also suffering from mental health issues.
“On top of his failures on waiting lists, can he tell us how many people are waiting for mental health treatment?”
