Speaking to GB News Community Editor Michael Heaver in Westminster, Christopher set out how: “I joined GB News because for me personally, it was time for a change.
“I’d been at the Daily Telegraph for 20 years. I knew that paper back to front, inside out. I enjoyed it. I’ve been doing some podcasting work, some commentary on TV and I was increasingly talking about what I know about politics and my experience.
“I thought the next level of that was take it into telly and TV and GB News came in exciting challenger brand saying how about being our political editor?’
“So I gave it some thought and thought, yeah. You know, you can have a have a risk and risks as you get older, Michael, bit older than you, risks are harder.
“But it’s really rewarding. I’m absolutely delighted I came. I love it.”
Setting out the difference between his current role and his previous job working for a newspaper, Christopher laid out how: “The difference is that in newspaper journalism, you’re looking forward into what might happen next week after this event.
“In TV, you’re talking about what’s happening right now. You’re in the moment.”
