Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam was seen attending the wedding ceremony of the premier pacer Shaheen Afridi on Tuesday in Karachi and the two Pakistan star players were seen sharing some delightful moments.
Shaheen Afridi and Ansha Afridi, the daughter of Pakistan great Shahid Afridi, got married on Tuesday. The duo got nikkahfied in a private ceremony in February this year and only close friends, teammates, and family were invited. Also, the duo had got engaged in 2021, as confirmed by both families.
Meanwhile, the photos of Babar being present at Shaheen’s wedding have quickly gone viral on social media. In one of the photos, the duo were seen sharing a laugh, and the Pakistan captain was also seen hugging Shaheen and congratulating him for the wedding.

Also, the likes of Misbah-ul-Haq, Saeed Anwar, Tanvir Ahmed, and Sohail Khan attended the wedding of the star pace bowler of Pakistan, who will be next seen in action in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.
Recently, Shaheen Afridi quashed the rumors of his rift with Pakistan captain Babar by sharing a picture on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle. He shared one of his pictures with Babar with a special “family” caption, seemingly indicating that things are absolutely fine between them and that the reports of the verbal spat were not true.

Notably, reports emerged in Pakistan media, claiming that Babar and Shaheen were engaged in a heated argument after the Men In Green were eliminated from the Asia Cup 2023 following a defeat in the nail-biter Super Four game against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.
As per BolNews, Babar lost his cool following the loss and he slammed his teammates in the dressing room for not performing well. Listening to this, Shaheen decided to interrupt and he asked the Pakistan captain to appreciate those who did well for the side.
Babar Azam reportedly didn’t like the interruption and said ‘I know who’s performing well’. This forced Mohammad Rizwan and the head coach to interrupt and stop the argument between the duo.
